Sources in the note
After an appointment ends, Rebrief links sentences of the note to the words said during the visit. You can see the exact words behind a sentence without leaving the note. It helps you check the note against the conversation.
When sources appear
Sources appear after End, once Rebrief has finished the note. A chip on the note's bar then counts the sentences End linked, such as 12 sources. On a narrow note, the chip shows the number alone. There is no chip before End.
A sentence gets a source only when Rebrief finds where it was said. Each quote is copied exactly from the transcript.
Seeing where a sentence came from
- Click in a sentence of the note. A sentence with a source gets a dotted underline and a Source button at its end.
- Select Source. A card opens, headed Said during the visit.
- The card shows the words that were said, in quotation marks. One sentence can have up to three quotes.
- Click another sentence with a source, and the card moves to it.
You can also click the chip on the note's bar. Rebrief goes to the first sentence with a source and opens its card.
Seeing it in the transcript
Select Show in transcript on the card. The Transcript tab opens. For the note on the Note tab, those words are highlighted there.
Closing the card
Press Esc, select the ×, or click a sentence that has no source.
Good to know
- A sentence without a source is one Rebrief did not link to the transcript. Check those sentences yourself.
- If you edit a sentence, its source stops showing. A source only points at words the note still has.
- Sources are text only. There is no audio to play back.
- Sources stay with the note when you open the appointment again.
