Autocomplete in the note
When you type in a note, Rebrief can offer the rest of the line. The offer appears in faded text after your cursor. Press Tab to take it, or keep typing to ignore it.
When it appears
Rebrief offers to finish a line only when all of these are true.
- You are typing. Clicking or moving the cursor never brings up an offer.
- Your cursor is at the end of a line that already has some text.
- Rebrief is not listening. The appointment is paused, has ended, or hasn't started listening yet.
The offer appears a moment after you stop typing. If Rebrief has nothing to offer, nothing appears. It works in any note, including notes written on your templates.
On a numbered line under Procedure or Plan / Next visit, the offer may also include the next steps.
Taking it or leaving it
- Press Tab to add it to the note. You can also click the Tab button beside it.
- Press Esc to dismiss it.
- Moving the cursor with the arrow keys dismisses it too.
- Typing the same words carries on through it. Typing something else drops it.
What you take becomes your own text, just like anything you type.
Where the words come from
A small label beside the Tab button says where Rebrief took the words from.
- said today means they come from what was said in this visit.
- your usual means they follow your own wording. That wording comes from My standard protocols and My dictation dictionary, in Settings under Notes & dictation.
- accept means Rebrief names no source. Usually it only finishes the shape of the line. That might be a section heading, a numbered step or a standard abbreviation.
Your protocols and dictionary shape the wording only. Teeth, doses and measurements are meant to come from this visit or from the note itself. Read a completion before you press Tab.
