Your home screen

Scribe, at the top of the rail, opens your home screen. It shows two things, your recent appointments and your day. It greets you by name, with one line underneath, Here are your recent appointments.

Your recent appointments

The row of cards holds your clinic's most recent appointments, with pinned ones first. The card in the middle is held open. It shows the patient, the date and time, and the first lines of the note.

• Move the pointer toward either side to scroll through the cards.
• Click a side card, or use the arrow keys, to bring it to the middle.
• Under the open card, Pin keeps that appointment at the front of the row for everyone in your clinic. On a pinned card it reads Unpin.
• Open note opens the appointment.
• Delete asks you to confirm with Yes, delete this note. It deletes the whole appointment, with its notes and its chart.

On a computer, the first card is New appointment, which starts a new appointment. The last card is View all appointments, which opens your full list of appointments. The same words also sit under the row as a link. Before your clinic has any appointments, the middle card reads No notes yet and offers Start an appointment.

A card can carry a small label, such as these.

• Pinned marks a card someone in your clinic pinned.
• Saved to PMS means the note or the chart was sent to your practice-management software.
• Unfinished means nobody ended that appointment.
• Active means it may still be open on another device.

On a tablet or a phone, the cards scroll sideways, with a New appointment card at each end. Each card has its own pin, Open note and delete buttons. View all appointments sits under the row.

One appointment at a time

Rebrief listens through one microphone, so it runs one appointment at a time. If an appointment is still listening, New appointment opens it instead of starting another. End it first, then start the next one.

If an appointment is paused, New appointment ends it and starts the new one. The paused appointment's note is finished as usual.

While an appointment is listening or paused, Scribe in the rail opens that appointment instead of this screen.

Today's schedule

Today's schedule sits below the cards, and it shows today only. On a computer or a tablet, a tab with a caret sits on its top edge. Click it to pull the schedule up over the cards, and click again to put it back.

• Point at a booked patient to see their card. It shows the pre-appointment summary. When the booking is linked to a patient record, the card also has Start appointment.
• The round-arrows button on the schedule brings today in again. Inside the Rebrief Bridge, it syncs today from your practice software.
• If today hasn't been imported yet, the schedule says Today's schedule isn't here yet. That way you don't mistake it for a free day.
• Until your clinic connects its practice software, this part of the screen reads Connect your practice software.

Note: A clinic whose plan has no practice-software connection has no schedule to show. That half of the screen shows today's Learn goal instead.
