Signing in for the first time

3 min read

You can get into Rebrief one of two ways: register a brand-new clinic, or accept an invite from a clinic that's already using Rebrief. Both paths end at the same sign-in screen.

Creating a new clinic account

If you're setting up Rebrief for your clinic for the first time:

  1. Go to the registration page and enter your name, email address, and a password.
  2. Submit the form. Rebrief sends a verification email to the address you entered — if it doesn't arrive, you can resend it from the same screen.
  3. Once you're signed in, you'll land on a short setup screen where you enter your clinic's name and specialty, and choose your charting preferences (tooth numbering and probing order).

Note: As part of setup, Rebrief may ask your browser for your location so it can record your clinic's address. Allowing it is optional: Finish setup works whether or not a location is captured.

You can also register with Google or Microsoft — click Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft on the registration page instead of filling in the password field.

Accepting an invite

If a colleague invited you to their clinic, you'll receive an invite link by email. Opening it takes you to an invite page that already knows your email and name.

  • If you don't have a Rebrief account yet: choose a password (at least 8 characters), set your charting preferences, and submit. This creates your account and adds you directly to your colleague's clinic — you join their existing clinic, so you won't go through the clinic setup screen described above.
  • If that email already has a Rebrief account: the invite page will ask you to sign in instead. Log in with your existing credentials to accept the invite.

Signing in

Once your account exists, sign in from the login page:

  1. Enter your email and password, then submit.
  2. Or, skip the password entirely by clicking Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft.

You'll land on your dashboard once you're signed in.

Tip: Not sure whether you already have an account? Try signing in with Google or Microsoft first — it's the fastest way to find out.

Resetting your password

Forgot your password?

  1. From the login page, go to the password reset page.
  2. Enter your email address and submit.
  3. If an account exists for that address, you'll receive a reset link by email. Open it, set a new password, and sign in.

Your sign-in session stays active until you log out, so you won't need to repeat these steps every time you open Rebrief.
