Note templates

A note template is a layout of headings and instructions that a note is written on. In Rebrief, a template note is an extra note you add to an appointment. The note every appointment starts with doesn't use a template.

Each appointment opens with a blank note on the Note tab. Rebrief writes it as you talk. Findings, diagnosis, procedure and plan each go in their own section. You don't pick a template for it.

Adding a template note

1. Open + Create on the appointment's tab row.
2. Choose Note. Your note templates appear under Favourites, Your clinic and Rebrief. You can search them too.
3. Pick a template.

The template note opens as its own tab, named after the template. Rebrief writes it from the appointment so far, including what the Note tab has captured. You can add one before or after End.

If nothing has been said yet, the tab shows the template as written, and Rebrief tells you so. Press Regenerate on its bar once the appointment has words.

While the scribe is listening, you can also ask out loud. Say "start an operative note" or "use the extraction template", naming one of your templates.

Suggested for this appointment, under Outputs in + Create, may offer a template that fits what was said. Nothing is written until you pick it.

How a template note behaves

• A line under its bar says when it was written, such as Written at 2:32 pm from the appointment so far.
• The scribe keeps writing into the Note tab. The template note doesn't change as you keep talking.
• Press Regenerate on its bar to rewrite it from the appointment so far. Rebrief asks you to confirm first. This works after End too.
• At End, Rebrief polishes it with the rest of the appointment. It keeps its template's headings.
• Merge back into one note removes it. Anything you typed in it moves to the Note tab. Rebrief asks first, with Merge and Keep.

Your note templates

• Note templates live in Templates, beside document and form templates.
• Rebrief's own templates can't be changed. Saving one makes a copy for your clinic.
• Set as my default marks one note template as your default in the library. New appointments start on the blank note either way.
• Star the templates you use most. They show first, under Favourites, when you choose Note in + Create.
